We just came from the auction in Buckeye that we advertised earlier this week. Horse rescues 23- Killbuyer 0!! Way to go everyone who showed up! We are driving one mare/baby pair home to our coalition partner, Tierra Madre Horse Sanctuary , we will specify later exactly who got who, (after we unload) but Wild Horse Ranch Rescue bid on the bulk of them. Way to go! We support all rescues and good homes who showed up out of the goodness of their hearts. However, we wish they would get first right of refusal in the first place, so we are going to work to amend the stray livestock law. No reason good homes should have to bid against killbuyers!
