As our followers might know, our organization consists of many horse heroes. Today we celebrate someone whose heart has shaped our organization in countless ways. Since 2015, yes 10 years, Deb Saari has shown up for the Salt River horses every single day — not because she has to, not because she gets paid and not because it’s always fun, because it’s actual hard work, but because these horses, are what she deeply cares about.

Deb is a Director on our Board, she’s a steady hand in emergencies, a warm leader with a smile for volunteers, and the quiet strength behind every Salt River rescue and rehabilitation. Every horse she’s helped carries a piece of her heart, and every team member has felt her leadership by example.

Deb, thank you for the countless hours, boundless energy, and love you pour into our important mission. We are all wishing you a birthday filled with the same joy you give so freely to the horses and all of us.
