🌊 Meanwhile, on the Salt River…
Inspector’s band was peacefully snorkeling for eelgrass when this … well, let’s just say quite selfish human being … decided to disturb not only their peace, but also the peace of many onlookers. 😠
The Salt River horses are so well adapted to putting up with thousands of people visiting their home, but they shouldn’t have to put up with this kind of unnecessary bullying and harassment. They were not in this guy’s way, you can see he clearly went after them. While no horses were harmed, except for missing their lunch of eelgrass on a hot day, we have to ask:
- ❓ Did he gain anything by doing this?
- ❓ Was it necessary in any way?
- ❓ Does he enjoy disturbing the peace for all living creatures—or just wild horses?
We don’t know who he is, which means we can’t take any action. But if you recognize him, please do call our hotline at 480-868-9301.
Sheriff Sheridan and MCSO care about the Salt River horses and the law that protects them against harassment. You can call them also, if ever you see someone harassing the horses on purpose. (At the time of the incident, not right now)
At this time we’d also like to thank all of the peaceful visitors who respect the horses and love watching them. If you stay at a respectful distance of 50 ft, the horses don’t mind people at all. Luckily there are more of those kinds of visitors than of this kind. (unkind)
Thank you for filming when needed, and thank you for helping keep the Salt River a place of peace. 💙🐎
Have a peaceful day.
