Salt River stallion Wind 💨 Rescue Part 2. This part of his journey is all about patience, trust, and comfort.
Because it was too hot to transport him all the way to Prescott on rescue day, Wind made a little layover at our Beeline facility 🏡. Here, he’s slowly getting used to people, and we’ve started his gentling process — always on his terms.
Why taming? 🤔 It’s the only way we can give him the medical care he needs. For his leg, it might be a soft supportive shoe 👟 (like Diamond’s) or maybe a brace. What matters most is that he lives without pain and with dignity.
Some may not like the idea of taming this beloved wild horse 🐴, but in Wind’s case it’s about compassion, he is in a lot of pain. He will never have to perform or please people—on the contrary, people will be there purely to please him, and to make his life better. That’s how it works at SRWHMG. ❤️
And let’s be clear 💰➡️❌: there is no profit in doing the right thing for wild horses. It’s hard, it’s costly, and fundraising is difficult — but the reward is priceless. 💕 Helping one horse, ten, 280… each one matters.
And for those of you who believe the word “wild” means “let them suffer”, it does not. A wild horse suffers the same as any horse in a barn. Wind has been brave enough for all these years. He deserves this.
🙏 Thank you, to every single supporter, especially for those of you who donate, making Wind’s Rescue possible.💟 Thank you!
SRWHMG.
