I'll never ever forget that day, either. I taught at a middle school here in the valley and had the TV news on, as always each morning as I got ready to go to work. I was so shocked to hear and see when news of the attacks starting coming over the TV. It was like it just couldn't be real. What made it even worse for my family and me was that my cousin was working on the 70th floor of the North Tower, the first tower hit that morning. Of course we had no way of getting any news about him. It was the longest day ever. I cried all the way to school, and luckily, our principal let us keep the TVs on in our classrooms all day. Needless to say, no work was done in my room that day, just a lot of discussing what we were watching on TV, with me being an emotional wreck. With the overloaded cellular networks in New York City making outgoing and incoming calls extremely difficult, we didn't get news of my cousin right away, but thank the Lord, my cousin was one of those that made it out alive, but the impact on his life will never go away. As I said, we'll never forget, for so many reasons. May God Bless America and keep our enemies at bay…
