C’mon Forest Service, this is BULL!!
July 6th
The Apache Sitgreaves National Forest gets away with things in Alpine because it’s so far out there. We have formed a solid horse advocate group up here who is documenting the horses and this is what they recorded TODAY! C’mon Forest Service, this is BULL!!
They said that there would not be a lot of cattle and that they were concerned about the environment and that’s why they are removing horses. Ok, so what about 1000 cattle??
Is this what we Arizonans want? Is replacing historic wild horses with thousands of head of cattle good for our state, good for our forests, good for anything at all?
We have put so much goodwill forward in so many meetings with this Apache Sitgreaves Forest Service, we have sent legal letters and we have offered humane management. But we were snubbed, and this would be the very reason.
Apparently, their claims of concern for the environment were crocodile tears at best, simply a means to an end: the actual end of the Alpine wild horses. Can someone just help us get to someone of influence who can help?
HELP.
