For Foal Friday we are releasing the name of another beauty, please meet Sioux! She is sometimes mistaken for Makenzie because of her blonde mane and she is in fact her full sister! The first picture is by Spence Fairbanks when she was a foal, and the second is from our database by SRWHMG Destini Rhone.
Sioux was born in June of 2018.

Every Salt River wild horse has their own file in our database complete with their bloodlines, their band changes, their migration patterns and their health/injury history. We do not release each and every name because it is our proprietary information collected over the past 25 years. If everyone, including the Forest Service had all the names and bands, then they could just hire anyone to manage the horses, and it would make it a lot easier to remove and sell the horses too. To help us prevent that, and keep the horses safe, please only use names that we have previously already released, and also credit SRWHMG for the information, and for managing the Salt River wild horses humanely. Like and share if you care. Thank you!

SRWHMG.
