Memorial day weekend is one of the busiest weekends on the lower Salt River and we like to make sure we have all the important horse hotspots covered, like the horse crossing, the rec areas, the gates people leave open, the hills, and of course the river. We’ve checked on all Salt River foals and their bands, and they are doing great.

Its pretty amazing as a team how we can be in many places at once and we want to thank all of our volunteers for giving up their weekend!

We want to highlight one in particular who goes above and beyond: Happy Birthday to our own Rick Blandford, who’s checking on Salt River wild horses even on memorial day weekend, even on his own birthday, which is today! Thank you for all you do Rick Blandford.
