Its farrier day in Prescott! Here’s how we keep Diamond comfortable!

Background: Diamond lost his hoof in a cattleguard in 2017 and also broke off half his coffin bone and he had nothing but a bloody stump left. In spite of veterinarians not having any hope of recovery, we tried absolutely everything and no one could believe it when he grew an entirely new hoof back. ( It took many casts and boots and plasma treatments.)

Of course he will never grow a coffin bone back, so it will never be a perfect hoof, but here is how we keep him comfortable on it.
