Horse Hugs and Kisses: Agave is Starting to Love Life Again!
Agave is starting to act like she loves life again! Here she is with her two very gentle Salt River brothers, who themselves were on the verge of death just two yrs ago. It’s like they are encouraging her.
Of course when we rescue a wild horse, large or small, we know from the start that it’s not going to be easy nor cheap. It’s scary when you try really hard, but just don’t know if they are going to make it or not. (Of course if they were healthy we would not need to rescue them). Agave has been like that, one day better one day worse. She suffers from a sensitive colon (had an impaction) and ulcers. But now, with daily treatment and 24 hour feeding and monitoring, finally, she is starting to gain a little weight and have more energy. The socializing with her (step) brothers, (also rescued from the Salt River), is really good for her.
We want to thank you for your support!! Please view our rescues wishlist for ways to help!
