Happy Wednesday from Nessa, Ty, and Talia — our beautiful Alpines! 💛

Talia has been making the funniest faces back at our caretaker, Destini, while Destini sings to them during her shift. Our caretakers are such an important part of the horses’ daily lives and they do an incredible job meeting all their needs, showering them with love, and yes — even singing to them, too!

Talia and Nessa were rescued from the Holbrook Auction at the Navajo Fairgrounds on August 10, 2022. Many of you may remember when SRWHMG stepped in to save several Alpines from an uncertain future after they had already endured being removed from their home in the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest.

At the time, we suspected one or both girls might be carrying foals and we were right. After a few months at the rescue, it became clear that Talia was going to be a mom, while Nessa was preparing for her role as the very best auntie ever. 🐴💕
