He doesn’t have one yet! 🐴

We like to name them with the public’s help, so it’s YOUR turn to help name the newest Salt River wild horse!!🩵 Here’s a few things to keep in mind about our naming process:

🐎 We mostly try to honor each foal’s family theme so that we can remember their bloodlines for generations to come. His maternal line is Venus and grandmother Athena, inspired by Greek gods, mythology, and the stars 🌌

His paternal line is Orion with grandfather is Moon, so that continues a planetary theme.

His other grandfather is the famous Sarge, with strong military-inspired names.

🌟 But we also think about his FUTURE.

One day — 7 to 10 years from now — this little boy could become a lead stallion of the future, just like Moonfire 🔥🐴🌙
That means his name should be powerful enough to inspire future foal names within his own band someday ✨

🐴❤️AND/OR Sometimes, with the first foal of the year, we also love honoring people who helped protect this herd. Firstborn horses like Ducey, Killian, and Makenzie were named after people who made a real difference.

✨ Most importantly, we look for names that represent: Strength ⚔️Freedom 🌾Beauty 🌄Courage 🐎 Spirit 🌌

So… it wont be easy! 😅

Especially not since so many names are already taken by other Salt River wild horses over the years, and we never want to duplicate names — even for horses that have passed on 🌿
