Psst! Have you heard the rumor that there’s a “ghost band” haunting the river?
Reports are pouring in fast—whispers turning into excited questions: “Have you seen the “ghost band?” As the chatter swelled, so did our curiosity. A “ghost band”? At the river? Yikes! Was this a case for Scooby-Doo and the Mystery Machine van? Not this time¬—our fearless field team took the call.
Off to the river they went, chasing shadows down winding trails and scrambling up others, pushing through prickly brush, and ducking beneath low-hanging branches. They climbed steep hills—and in at least one memorable moment, may have tumbled back down one. Miles passed underfoot, yet still they pressed on—through winding washes, across open stretches, and around one final bend.
And there—at last—they saw them.
The “ghost band,” standing in quiet majesty, glowing in shades of gray and white against the landscape.
But this is no ghost story. No mystery left unsolved. We introduced you to this stallion last November. This is Silver, the son of Sarge, leading his band – Pepper, Scarlett, and Violet – through their river home.
Case closed. Mystery solved.
And as always, this is “As the River Flows.”
