The word “Feral” is a favorite word by wild horse opponents to try and degrade wild horses to a lesser status, like feral cats. However, the word itself doesn’t hold any biological or scientific meaning, so we usually just ignore it. But in your opinion, how long would they have to have been here, to earn the word WILD?

* P.S. The Salt River wild horses live in the same area, as they were described in historic articles from 1890. Most likely they originate from the explorations father Eusebio Keno and our DNA research shows very pure Spanish bloodlines without quarter horse influences.
