Rascall in the Rain!
We’re grateful for the precipitation we’ve received in the last 2 days and incredibly grateful for your support of our feed program, which we cannot conclude until the forage regenerates! With our fundraiser, (let us know if you’ve seen it) we’ve reached one semiload of hay for the next 2.5 weeks, (25 bales per day for 280 wild horses) and we’re just 4900 away from achieving our goal of two semiloads!
The horses and the desert have been deprived of a good rain for the past 8 months, but we’re optimistic that with this rain the seeds deep in the ground will sprout in the next few months, allowing us to conclude our feed program! It typically takes one month for the seeds to emerge and another full month to become established, provided we receive a little additional precipitation in the next few weeks. Fingers crossed! 🤞
