We are saddened by the passing of Rep. Grijalva, a trailblazer in the fight for the Salt River wild horses! His efforts back then, undertaken in conjunction with the late Senator John McCain, yielded a landmark bipartisan delegation letter to the Forest Service, which was instrumental in saving the Salt River wild horses! (We will try to provide the letter at a later time.)

We express our heartfelt gratitude to Rep. Grijalva for working with us in Washington DC, and for his continued dedication to creating change for wild horses, even long before it was the popular thing to do. Our condolences are with his family and friends, and the exceptional staff in his office. Rest in peace dear Sir.
