Sadly, as we ring in the new year, the future of the Salt River wild horses is still very uncertain.
This video is not finished and has no subtitles, but we wanted to at least share this update from today, and promise better video editing in the new year!
We’ll be honest: we don’t yet know what kind of year lies ahead for the Salt River wild horses. We do not know if we’ve received the new contract yet. However, we did receive an extension of our current contract today, through March 31, or until the new contract is awarded.
We want to also quickly address some of the negativity we’ve seen, and far more importantly, we want to thank you, our loyal supporters. Your trust, encouragement, and unwavering support has changed the course of history for these horses, and together we will continue to do so the best way we can.
No matter what comes, you know we will show up and do the hard work, because these horses deserve nothing less. Let the talkers talk and help the doers do! Let’s hope 2026 — the Year of the Horse, will be the year of the Salt River wild horse! ✨ Happy New Year to all of you. Simone and all of SRWHMG.
