Thanks to the monsoon rains, we have ended our huge feed program!
September 4th
Thanks to the monsoon rains, we have ended our huge feed program that was so necessary because of the horrendous longstanding drought in Arizona. The Salt River wild horses have gone back to eating vegetation, grasses, eelgrass and mesquite leaves!
We have gotten them through some truly hard times, and want to thank each and every amazing supporter without whom that would not have been possible. Thank you also to the AZDA and Forest Service for letting us feed the Salt River horses in their habitat, instead of removing them (and then having to feed them for the rest of their lives).
It took much organization, resources and manpower. Thank you to our amazing feedteams; the dedication and perseverance for their protection and well-being and continued freedom is what continues to keep the Salt River wild horses here for all to enjoy.
If you do enjoy them, please invite your friends to click like on this page, share our posts and continue to support us. Thank you everyone! SRWHMG.
