We hope everyone is having a great time with friends and family, celebrating freedom! The horses seem to be celebrating their freedom also!

The ancestors of wild horses helped us fight for our freedom, and so did we fight for theirs. Now, the Salt River wild horses are one of very few herds managed 100% through humane birth control and cooperation with government.

Not one Salt River wild horse has ever been removed, unless it needed to be rescued. Compare this to the cruel roundups and removals that most other herds are subject to.

Freedom is never free and it is not in this case either, our programs are expensive and manpower intensive. These horses are cared for by hardworking SRWHMG volunteers and paid for by people like you, who simply love these horses.
