Update on our rescued slaughter horse

August 27th

His fate would have been horrific, but it changed the minute a black truck with an SRWHMG logo truck parked next to the filthy trailer he was in. He was stressed and pacing back and forth, and he stuck his muzzle out, which is how he called attention to himself.

After he was paid for by SRWHMG, one of our volunteers stepped up for him and Mary is now his happy new owner. She named him Braveheart, because of everything he’s been through.

Braveheart is not a wild horse, but a paso fino, a very interesting and valuable breed, because of their comfortable gate. His only job now is to gain some weight and make new friends. He loves his soft pine shavings bed and Mary’s other horse will become his buddy. We want to wish Mary and Braveheart long and happy life together!

For all horses everywhere,

End horse slaughter.
