You know we’ve always walked the walk for the Salt River wild horses—and we know you do too, and it’s no easy feat. Others who continually bash us for fundraising, are now fundraising, and we want to warn you to know the difference, because it’s very deceiving. We of course have been keeping the horses healthy and happy all along 🌾 Because that’s what responsible organizations do.
But now the horses need us more than ever. The drought is relentless, and we must cover this last unpaid semi-load of hay plus the first load once we have our contract! Each load lasts just 2–2.5 weeks. Receipts attached show the cost: $6286 for 7 stacks of weed- free alfalfa and $1114 for one stack of Bermuda for our sweet Salt River Rescues, including DaVinci! So $14,000 is needed before September 1st, It is very very tough to raise this amount, which is why we need YOU.

This is our chance to show the world the strength of this community—and how real support for the Salt River herd is done.
