Please share because no horse should ever be left behind! ❤️
At first glance, he looked like a Salt River wild horse. But he wasn’t wild. He was a domestic horse abandoned in the forest — left by the person he knew. Heartbreaking
Domestic horses can’t survive in the wild. They don’t know where the river is, or which weeds are safe to eat. They rely on humans for feed, hoof care, nutrition, medical support, etc. Without it, they perish slowly, which is very cruel.
Luckily we found him. He wasn’t running. He was waiting, and had apparently been there for about a week — waiting for someone who wasn’t coming back. Do you recognize this horse? Let us know! And share everywhere!
Now, he’s safe with us. We will do whatever it takes. Not just for him, but for all of the Salt River wild horses!
This is now a fundraiser for Valentine’s Day. We need $3,500. He needs veterinary assessment, bloodwork, farrier work, proper nutrition, and rehabilitation. And we will look for an adopter who will truly love him regardless of if he is rideable or not.
This Valentine’s Day, let’s show him Love that stays and doesn’t abandon. Every dollar will go into our veterinary and rehabilitation fund.
Your support gives him his second chance!
With your donation, please chose from these three names for him: Copper, Teddybear, or Golden Boy.
