A real Arizona tragedy is about to occur.
UPDATE July 13th 2022, the Alpine wild horse auction at the fairgrounds in Holbrook has been canceled! AWHA members have been keeping an eye on the closed trap area and while it does not state a reason on the FS website, we have a strong feeling they did not catch any of these WILD horses. 😉
End of update.
A real Arizona tragedy is about to occur. Historic Alpine wild horses will be sold off in Holbrook, as soon as this Thursday July 14th! We have discussed the issue of the removal of the Alpine Wild horses with Arizona’s official State historian. He examined the many historic articles in which these horses were mentioned in newspapers dating back to 1850 and he said this:
“There is sufficient historic evidence to confidently state these Alpine wild horses have lived in the Apache Forest since the time of the first explorers. The Forest Service must be stopped from removing this important living remnant of our Arizona history.”
BTW if YOU want to help, all you have to do is share this with everyone you know, there must be someone important who won’t ignore this.
Thank you!! SRWHMG.
