To the fathers:

How many untold threats have been thwarted off by the amazing fathers in our Salt River Herd? How much wisdom have they passed on? How much love have they shown, before their offspring is ready to stand on their own and lead a successful wild life?

There are so many similarities between wild horse behavior and human behavior, because love is the strongest survival skill of all.

It is because of love that they want to protect, because of love that they teach, because of love they have courage to fight and because of love they are happy when their offspring is successful.

Thank you fathers of all species, for the love and protection and carrying on your legacies.
