IN THE NICK OF TIME!

NO MATTER WHAT THEY TRY TO CALL THEM, HEBER WILD HORSES SHALL NOT BE IMPOUNDED OR REMOVED!- until further order of the Court.

While the removal of Heber wild horses by the Forest Service could have started TODAY, The federal court has granted our TRO in the nick of time! The Forest Service has already promised that they will not start impounding until July 15th, BUT NOT if the judge grants both of our motions! There will be a Hearing THIS Friday on the matter!

Heber wild horses (or ANY reclassification thereof) shall NOT be impounded, moved, or sold — and those already impounded shall NOT be moved or sold — until further order of the Court.

⚖️ Violation of this Order constitutes CONTEMPT OF COURT and is punishable.

📣 NOTICE TO ANYONE ACTING UNDER THE IMPOUNDMENT NOTICE:

This order applies not only to the Forest Service, but to any person acting under their direction, or approval,— directly or indirectly!

If you have:

  • Captured horses
  • Participated in removals
  • Built holding or capture pens on FS land
  • Currently have open capture pens,

You are now on legal notice:

DO NOT capture, impound, move, transfer, OR SELL any Heber wild horses you’ve already caught — regardless of what you call them.

⏳ This is a Temporary Restraining Order, in effect:

Immediately

NOTE TO HORSE ADVOCATES, please do not take it upon yourself to enforce this order. None of our volunteers have been present in the Apache Sitgreaves National Forest this past week, because we do not want ANY confrontation, which could possibly jeopardize this lawsuit. We will do everything through these legal means, and we will win, because there are too many illegalities to mention about the blatant reclassification of protected wild horses.

Therefore, If you see anyone removing or catching or selling Heber Wild Horses you may call law enforcement and you may notify us through our hotline: 480 868 9301, and you should document it, but NOT interfere, please. Also if you know of auctions where they may attempt to sell Heber wild horses this Wednesday or any day, we need quiet observers there for documentation. Please DO send us any and all video evidence of removals, so that we can get those horses released! This is our email: [email protected]
Thank you so much, we know how much people love these horses.

This battle is not over, in fact its just beginning. What happens next, this Friday in the courtroom will determine the entire future for these precious, treasured, historic and PROTECTED WILD HORSES.

  • 📅 Hearing: May 1st at 9:00 AM
  • 🏛 Federal Courthouse, Room 505
  • Public is welcome as long as everyone is calm, quiet and respectful in the courtroom

We want to thank some people: First and foremost the 405 people who donated from 5 dollars to to hundreds of dollars, YOU and only you, made this LEGAL ACTION Financially possible!!

Of course we also want to thank our amazing attorneys Randall Weiner and Rita Gara and Troy Froderman, who have worked hard trusting us to pay our bills! They did an amazing job on very short notice! Simone would also like to thank Laura Leigh and Suzanne Roy for their help late through the night! Last but not least, we want to thank ALL the national wild horse organisations for jumping in with strong letters to the highest levels of the Forest Service, about this outrageous attempt to strip an entire herd from their legal protections! Lets tag them in the comments!

Thank you!

For the public and by the public,

SRWHMG. 💪
