As our followers know, we get very upset when people dump their pets in the Tonto National Forest. We end up rescuing these animals, but not all can be saved. Abandoning animals in the TNF is definite animal cruelty and it is illegal.
One of our volunteers on road patrol noticed this “gentleman” dumping either 2 or 3 cats, at what we call Pickle Park- it is the first dirt parking lot after Granite Reef. She grabbed her phone as quick as she could, and these are the best pictures we have, in which the license plate unfortunately is not readable.
We are looking for the cats and we have put food out for them and are looking for some help to rescue them also.
But additionally, we are tired of people getting away with this terrible cruelty. So we are wondering if there is anyone out there who can enhance these images, to be able to make out the license plate number. Once we have that, we will work hard to make sure this person gets caught and prosecuted!
Come to the TNF to leave your worries and troubles behind, but NOT YOUR PETS!
