🐴 WHAT DOES IT REALLY TAKE TO KEEP THEM HERE? Every time you see the Salt River wild horses running through the water, grazing along the river, or standing together as a family, there is a lot happening behind the scenes to keep them there.

📋 Today, we are releasing our Herd Health Report which we submit to the AZDA under which we work. It documents the health of the herd, including injuries, deaths, population information, and the undeniable succes of our fertility control program.

We show up for these horses every single day.

because protecting wild horses means doing the work—real work, every single day, and working with the government, not against it.

❤️ This report is the reality behind the beautiful videos and pictures, which ofcourse we share with you often. But its difficult to exprrss and share all that it takes to run our many different programs and manage our more than 100 volunteers.

Humane management means knowing and caring about these wild horses individually, monitoring their health, responding when they are injured, and also making difficult decisions when necessary. We do all this without charging the government a dime. We do all this while putting up with many false accusations from people who think they know better.

Thats why your support is vital. Thats why our volunteers are vital. Every person who takes the time to learn about our important mission helps make our work possible and keep these horses here.
