SRWHMG protects the Salt River wild horses, but now need protection ourselves.

May 17th

SRWHMG mission is to protect the Salt River wild horses, but now, we ourselves, need protection.

The extreme and current fire danger to our Rescue care center for the Salt River wild horses has caused us to look for solutions. We learned of a really great fire retardant that can be applied around our property and we believe it could make all the difference.

Even as we speak, there is a wildfire less than 10 miles from us right now. Our property is vulnerable, because it borders the Beeline Hwy directly, as well as the Tonto National Forest. Last year during the Goldfield fire, our Rescue was saved in the nick of time by a well placed DC10 retardant drop. (See pictures taken from our property.) This is the same retardant that we can purchase! It is natural and biodegradable, SAFE for horses and it lasts an entire fire season. 🔥

With no rain predicted in the near future we really need this protection, but because we spend every dime on the emergency feed program, we cannot afford it without your help. We need $9000 for the retardant plus the application, as stated in the estimate below; it is steeply discounted.

Therefore if you can help, you will protect SRWHMG rescues and volunteers this fire season. Please contribute any amount you like; It is the power of accumulation that makes our fundraisers work!!

Donate to our cause!

🙏 Thank you so much!!

A worried SRWHMG.
