When Your Own “Defense” Becomes the Smoking Gun 🔥
In a clumsy attempt to prove that JH is a compassionate and law-abiding steward of wild horses, her proxy John Mack recently posted a video on YouTube. The goal? To prove that “everything you’ve heard about Jackie Hughes is not true.” But ironically, the video only added more proof of her unlawful actions—violations of FSrules as well as her contract. (Her contracts together cost the tax payer close to 2 million)
🎥 In the video, a man stands with his lovely daughter beside a yearling wild horse. He says his daughter pointed to the baby horse in the forest she thought was pretty—and JH told them she would catch it and give it to her, which delighted them. (Ofcourse this is nothing against the man and the sweet young girl as they are completely unaware of the rules)
However, let this sink in.
A wild horse, removed from public land— taken, never offered in a public auction and simply handed over to a friend. That may seem like a kind gesture, but these are not JH horses to give!
📌 According to FS rules and her contract:
- The horse must be covered under a current notice of impound
- It must be made available to the public through a fair, public auction
- The sale must be posted with correct and timely notice
None of that happened!
Once the legal implications became clear, the video disappeared from YouTube. But you can’t erase wrongdoing just by hitting delete.
Because we document wild horses so closely, we can prove that the disappearance of the most beautiful lead stallions was a regular occurrence during JH’s Alpine roundups.
Among the evidence, one of the most heartbreaking examples is Hero—a beloved stallion from the Apache Forest known for caring for orphaned foals and traumatized mares after the 2022 shootings.
Hero and his band were removed by JH. But while all of his band members appeared at auction, Hero himself was never seen—not in the Texas auctions, not online at the Rail Lazy H auctions, nowhere.
Until we found him…
At McDonald’s Ranch—the same facility where she was training Alpine wild horses for private sale. Horses she had no legal right to possess or sell.
🐎 Hero wasn’t alone. Dozens of other removed horses—many of them exceptional lead stallions in rare colors like buckskin and grulla—simply vanished.
This is about misuse of power, lack of transparency, and zero accountability.
And you can almost bet that those applauding JH for “humane wild horse management” have been promised a Salt River wild horse of their very own. 🎁🐴
We are currently still in active litigation against JH and the Apache F.S. for:
- Self-dealing
- Shill bidding
- Failure to follow Forest Service procedures
- Failure to post correct public notices
🚨 This is about facts backed by video, photo documentation, contracts, and firsthand accounts. Some of it even comes straight from her own camp, such as this video.
JH and John Mack have just given the public a clear and urgent reason to demand a full investigation and to never ever let her anywhere near the beloved Salt River wild horses🔎
You can’t spin your way out of unlawful actions. And you definitely shouldn’t document them and expect applause. 👏❌
