Our Beautiful Batman, we had 4 beautiful years with him and we don’t know how to say goodbye, ..but we had to. We’ve dealt with his bad hooves for many years and were able to fix the canker sores in them with regular treatments, but when that was finally resolved, he developed severe laminitus. No matter what we tried, there was nothing more we could do, to keep him out of pain. We don’t let go of hope easy, as you know, but holding on when they are in pain, is not compassion. The wild goodbyes are hard, but when you know and love them up close every day, it’s shattering. With hugs to all of our amazing hardworking caretakers. Goodbye Batman, Run Forever Free ❤️
