For Immediate Release: Center for Biological Diversity Loses Second Lawsuit Against the Salt River Wild Horses.
(PHOENIX, A.Z., August 27th 2024) – Salt River Wild Horse Management (SRWHMG) and American Wild Horse Conservation (AWHC) welcome the dismissal of a second lawsuit, filed by the Center for Biological Diversity and trophy hunting groups against the US Forest Service (USFS) as a major win for the Salt River wild horses.

King, the oldest horse on the Salt River, was given a dignified ending by our crew this morning, after he was found down and suffering. This is his story.
We are close to being able to bid on 3 Alpines, but we don’t want to leave any behind!!

The defamation of small and medium rescues and or sanctuaries serves no purpose other than to hurt the horses. Without donations and sponsors those horses cannot stay safe in the homes where they are currently thriving.

Family is everything.
They do not only have our heart and soul, but they ARE the heart and soul of the Salt River!
Update from MCSO: Rodrigo the missing 15 yr old boy was ALSO found safe and sound!
Two precious boys are safe, one equine and one human! Family is everything! Thank you everyone for your prayers, good thoughts and for your participation on the river! Life is WONDERfull again!

Courthouse News Service: Federal judge declines to halt Arizona horse auction
“Wild horse advocates say the U.S. Forest Service violated federal statute by providing inadequate notice before rounding up and auctioning 13 unowned horses from the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest.”
Judge’s decision is in, TRO was lifted.
We are disappointed that Judge Tuchi lifted the TRO, because the fact that the USFS is shipping Arizona wild horses to killpens in Texas is unconsionable.

Zen lost everything at the hands of the actions of the Apache Sitgreaves National Forest and it’s contractor, and we lost a truly magnificent specimen of a historic wild horse, so close to his storybook ending.

All nine pairs of Alpine mares and foals from the online auction, have arrived at their rescue destinations, and we are so thankful to everyone who took in a pair, or more. Except it is all totally messed up!

The word “Feral” is a favorite word by wild horse opponents to try and degrade wild horses to a lesser status, like feral cats. However, the word itself doesn’t hold any biological or scientific meaning, so we usually just ignore it.

All these innocents have very tragic stories of getting shot at, seeing their families die or be removed, then finding other bands to join, only to finally be captured and now they are awaiting their fate in JH pens.

The Tonto National Forest (TNF) and it’s supervisor just filed a very strong and solid response in the lawsuit against them. We fully support our TNF and applaud the fact that they are not letting Robin Silver of CBD (Center for Biological Diversity) manipulate them.
